What is an EPC?
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) measures a property’s energy efficiency and provides a rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). The certificate is crucial because it indicates potential energy costs and environmental impacts. Alongside the overall rating, it estimates household energy costs for lighting, heating, and hot water over the next three years and lists the areas where you can improve the efficiency of your home.
What’s included in the price?
Energy Performance Assessors evaluate the energy efficiency of homes. This involves a thorough assessment of your home to determine the energy performance. The tasks below are all included in the price of the assessment.
- Loft Insulation Inspection if safely accessible
- Wall Thickness and Insulation Assessment
- Heating System Review
- Hot Water Heating Assessment
- Windows Reviewed for energy efficiency
- Lighting Assessment
- Room measurement for floorplan
- Renewable Technology Review
- Post-Audit Check
- EPC Creation, Rationale report, and EPC Registration
